Political Prisoner Mahmoud Beheshti Langroodi On Hunger Strike


Mahmoud Beheshti Langroodi, is a board member and spokesperson for the Iranian Teachers’ Trade Association (Tehran), and currently in prison.

Mahmoud Beheshti Langroodi started a hunger strike since thursday 26 november 2015, to protest the unfair verdict by the head of Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court judge Salvati.

Mahmoud Beheshti Langroodi, a board member and spokesperson for the Iranian Teachers’ Trade Association (Tehran), had been granted a furlough from October 11th to 17th, 2015; however, Tehran’s prosecutor denied his request for the extension of his leave despite the fact that his bail conditions had previously been approved. He therefore returned to Evin prison on October 17, 2015. Prior to his temporary leave, Mr. Beheshti Langroodi had gone on dry hunger strike for six days following his arrest on September 6th to protest against his unjust incarceration. Mr. Beheshti Langroodi had previously been sentenced to five years in prison and it’s not clear whether this sentence will be carried out, suspended or otherwise reduced.

Two Young Men Hanged

Two young men, Mohammad Reza Dehghan 23 and Javad Khamir, 25 at dawn of yesterday November 30, 2015, were hanged in Zahedan prison.
These two young men during the past 3 years were detained in the central prison of Zahedan in Ward 7 and accused of « rape ».
According to official statistics, this year, the Iranian government has executed at least 5 young people under 18 years old.

5 Rajaei Shahr Political Prisoners Continue Their Hunger Strike



5 political prisoners of Rajaei Shahr Pison In Karaj said they would continue their hunger strike until to obtain a secure place in prison for all political prisoners.

Their hunger strike followed an assault that two political prisoners, Saeed Madani & Saeed Razavi Faghih, had suffered.

These political prisoners on hunger strike are:

  1. Journalist prisoner Saeed Razavi Faghih
  2. Saeed Madani, an Iranian sociologist and human rights activist
  3. Political prisoner Jafar Eghdami
  4. Political prisoner Behzad Arabgol
  5. Dr. Kamran Ayazi
